Bio

Shouvik Chatterjee joined the Palmstrom group in November, 2016 after earning a doctoral degree in Physics from Cornell University.  His graduate work focused on understanding electronic structure of strongly correlated electron systems, including heavy fermions and complex oxides, often employing a combination of the techniques of molecular beam epitaxy and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy. Working in the Palmstrom group he expanded his materials palette to Heuslers and rare-earth monopnictides, deeply investigating the tunability of the topologically trivial LuSb and the topologically non-trivial PtLuSb.

After the Palmstrom Lab

After finishing up his PostDoc in Spring 2020, Shouvik returned to India to become a professor at the Tata Institute for Fundamental Research, Mumbai.
