Shinichi joins us fresh out of his PhD in Applied Physics at University of Tokyo. His PhD work was on topological materials, especially focusing on non-trivial bulk/surface magneto-transport phenomena. In the group he is planning to work on MBE and spectroscopy/transport of topologically non-trivial Heusler compounds.

Tony's postdoc is complete! His next step is Staff Scientist at NIST in Colorado.

Tobias has finished his thesis and is now at Intel in Oregon. Way to go!

Lab intern Mayer Feldman graduates from the College of Creative Studies in Physics and heads off to Harvard for his PhD. Way to go Mayer!

Mihir, Shouvik and Joon Sue presented papers at the APS meeting and met up with Jason Kawasaki, now a professor at UW Madison, to catch up on news.

Chris Palmstrøm is the 2018 David Adler Lectureship Award recipient "for innovative experimental research, lectures, and writing in the areas of dissimilar materials epitaxy, heterostructures and interfaces in thin films." Congratulations!
