Alex reports that he is enjoying his new job at Alta Motors. He says that the knowledge he learned in graduate school is proving useful! In six months he will have to come back to UCSB and show us his company's new product.

Graduate students Sean Harrison and Jay Logan and research scientist Javad Shabani will be presenting papers at the PCSI meeting in Snowbird, Utah in January.

Rachel finished her thesis in September and has started her new job at Northrup Grumman. Ken graduated in October and is now working at Applied Materials.

Sahil wins the Best Student Presentation award at the International MBE meeting in Flagstaff for his work on Understanding Interfacial Structure in Co2MnSi/GaAs(001) Spin Injection Heterostructures. Way to go Sahil!

Prof. Palmstrøm presented the plenary talk "Integration of Heusler Compounds with III-V Semiconductors: Semiconductor Spintronics and More" at the 32nd International Conference on the Physics of Semiconductors in Austin, Texas.

Jason is starting his Kavli Postdoctoral Fellow at Cornell University before he becomes an Assistant Professor in Materials Science at the University of Wisconsin, Madison in the fall of 2016.
